A List of Vendors

Here I am...six months later, trying my very best to come up with a decent list of the vendors that we used for our wedding. Yikes. I will do my very best to list who we used and give an informative review about them.

Venue- Chateau on the Creek

Location: Round Rock, TX

Price: $$$

Review:
I didnt mind Chateau too much...their decor is sorely outdated on the inside of the little house, but the outside is absolutely stunning! Their large trees and bright green grass offer a perfect background for photos! However, the staff there are something else. I would not recommend this place just because the staff can be rude and bossy. They did take care of a few things that I had not thought of and I was grateful for that, but they ended up making some of our guests angry and I didnt appreciate that very much. When they give you a time frame for things- they are NOT kidding. If you get a minute more you will PAY for it. They almost acted as if we were a thorn in their side...after we had paid them a large chunk of money to borrow their place for one night. Overall, the wedding turned out fine, but I wouldnt recommend it to another bride.

Food- The Salt Lick

I was actually the one who chose Salt Lick as our food vendor! They have some of the BEST bbq I've ever tasted and their sauce is as unique and fun as we are!

Price: $$$
Toward the end, when we sent in final numbers, it got pretty pricey! It was just below $3,000 for 200 people.

Review:
The staff was friendly, ontime and professional. I only had one complaint- I walked by my cousin's son and noticed that his piece of bread was green (covered in mold). I marched it up to the food line to ask the guys about it and they said they had no idea how much of the moldy bread they served. I was really embarrassed, but no one else has mentioned it yet. I was pretty upset about it, but there is nothing I can do to change it so I just got over it.

Alcohol- Fion Wine Pub/Josh McKay

Location: Bee Cave, TX

Price: $$
We ordered beer, wine and margaritas; which came with mixers and the like. All of that for about $2,000.

Review:
They were a joy to work with. Josh is AMAZING! The bartenders at the wedding were kind and courteous and all I heard were great things about them!

Photographers

I used two photographers for my wedding, both were family friends of ours. They both had very different photography styles, which I loved because all of the photos were SO different!

I used Lori Ferguson from LFE Photography! She was amazing! I couldnt find her website, but here's her facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=85956&id=1509783219#!/lfephotography

I also used Savannah Hennig from Savannah Leigh Photography! She was equally amazing! Here is her website/blog:

DJ - DJ Ray

Well, it's really hard to explain how one would come across DJ Ray/DJ Muscle Ray/DJ Raye...apparently he is really big in the wedding circuit in Salado, TX. Which is where my mother in law found him...from the wedding of a family member. I was in regular contact with him throughout the 9 months of planning. He had many spreadsheets of what I wanted played and when. THEN, on the night of the rehearsal he informed me that he had not taken the time to get any of my music. We didnt get to practice to the music that I picked...he was just going to "wing it" the day of. I cried and cried on rehearsal night. THEN, we got him the music that night- my brother in law went to his (my sisters) house and burned him a CD.
The day of the wedding our DJ was totally clueless. When I listened to a quick video that was taken by my uncle I realize he messed up every single song but the one that I walked down the aisle to. He messed up our first dance, the mother-son dance, the bouquet toss, the garter toss and the cake cutting music. He did not play one song that was on the list that I gave him....he ended up "winging it" after all. To say that we were all furious is an understatement.
All I know is that he resides in Killeen, TX and this is his email address- [email protected] - DONT DO IT. Save your $300 and find someone who cares!

Flowers- Austin Flower Co.

It turns out when you want to do your own bouquets there is only ONE florist in Austin that will wholesale you the flowers to do it yourself...and that's Austin Flower Co on 35th Street!
The price was unbelievable and unbeatable! The staff was just the same! I couldnt have asked for more! I LOVE Austin Flower Co!!
